Newly elected Boston City Council President Andrea Campbell will address more than 400 leaders from the Greater Boston legal community on Friday, March 2, 2018 at City Year Boston’s Legal Community Breakfast. Together with Diane Patrick, Senior Counsel at Ropes & Gray and former First Lady of Massachusetts, they will share how the region’s legal leaders can help create opportunity for Boston youth.

Staples Provides City Year Teams with School Supplies for 23 Boston Public Schools

Staples will provide City Year Boston with 46 school supply kits that will give diverse teams of City Year AmeriCorps members the tools they need to serve 12,000 students across 23 Boston Public Schools. Staples will distribute more than 650 school supply kits in total, providing one to every City Year team and one to its partner school in the communities where City Year serves.

City Year Boston Welcomes its Largest Corps Into Service at Red Jacket Weekend 2017

Beginning Friday, September 15, 2017, the Boston Public Schools (BPS) will join City Year Boston to welcome 289 City Year AmeriCorps members into service and kick off a new school year at City Year's Red Jacket Weekend. This year marks the largest Boston corps and the most number of schools served in the site's 29-year history. The multi-day event brings together school leaders, City Year alumni, and philanthropic champions to celebrate AmeriCorps members' service while also rolling up their sleeves at a service project at the Condon K-8 School in South Boston.

BPS Students Take Center Stage at City Year Boston's Starry Night

City Year Boston will welcome more than 700 guests to the Westin Waterfront Hotel on Thursday, May 25th for Starry Night, the education nonprofit’s annual celebration of its AmeriCorps members and champions and their collective service to the students of Boston. Now in its 20th year, the gala will recognize the diverse, multigenerational community that powers City Year Boston and makes it possible for AmeriCorps members to serve as critical tutors and mentors for students in 21 Boston Public Schools (BPS).
