Today, the Corps Members and Diplomas Now team at Capitol Middle School wrapped up HalloWeek with a favorite annual behavior initiative: the haunted house. Students without any suspensions or referrals in the month of October were rewarded with a journey through the eerie halls of the "Psycho Cinema", this year's theme that paid homage to classic horror films. Winding their way past ghosts, cobwebs, and things that go bump in the night, students were more than a little spooked to see their corps members out of uniform. City Year? More like City Fear! Happy Halloween, Baton Rouge!

As students waited to tour the Haunted House, Halloween-themed activities were provided to increase the suspense! These students were wrapped as mummies by their friends and judged on who created the best mummy.

The Capital Area United Way team at Capitol Middle School is ready to scare the students!

Corps Members Emily Hinshaw and Becky Livingston acted as witches in the “holding room” to get students excited for the Haunted House that awaited them.

Inside the Haunted House, messages from beyond really freaked students out.
