Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law offers City Year AmeriCorps members, alums and staff
$10,000 scholarships
A $10,000 annually renewable scholarship will be awarded to all admitted City Year applicants for the Juris Doctor program.
The scholarship may be renewed in subsequent years provided recipients maintain continuous registration and remain in good academic standing, according to Villanova Law standards.
Scholarships are awarded to City Year AmeriCorps members and alums who complete at least one term of service and City Year staff employed for at least two years.
The scholarships described above represent the minimum awards; applicants will be considered for additional merit-based aid depending on the academic strength of their application.

- Enrollment deferral: Villanova Law will allow deferrals for up to one year if accepted applicants decide to serve additional time with City Year.

To access the application fee waiver and apply for the scholarship
To get the application fee waived and be considered for the scholarship, please email the City Year Alumni & Career Services Department at alumni@cityyear.org with “Villanova Law: City Year verification letter request” in the subject line. Within the email, include the site where you served and dates of service. This letter will be sent directly to Villanova Law’s admissions office and added to your applicant file.
