Tulane University’s School of Social Work offers City Year AmeriCorps members, alums and staff

25% scholarships

The scholarship award will be 25% of tuition for up to two eligible City Year applicants per year towards the full-time and advanced standing Master of Social Work programs.

The scholarship may be renewed in subsequent semesters provided the recipients maintain continuous registration and remain in good academic standing, according to the School of Social Work’s standards.

Scholarships are awarded to City Year AmeriCorps members and alums who complete at least one term of service and City Year staff employed for at least two years.

The scholarships described above represent the minimum awards; applicants will be considered for additional merit-based aid depending on the academic strength of their application.

• Enrollment deferral: The School of Social Work may permit deferrals up to one year if accepted students decide to serve additional time with City Year before starting their studies.

To access the application fee waiver and apply for the scholarship

To get the application fee waived and be considered for the scholarship, please email the City Year Alumni and Career Services Department at alumni@cityyear.org with “Tulane SSW: City Year verification letter request” in the subject line. Within the email, include the site where you served and dates of service. This letter will be sent directly to the admissions office and added to your applicant file.
