Simmons University School of Social Work

City Year is proud to partner with Simmons University's School of Social Work, a pioneering liberal arts university with renowned coeducational graduate programs, offering 25% to 50% tuition scholarships.

Simmons University’s School of Social Work offers City Year AmeriCorps members, alums and staff

The Simmons City Year Scholarship + Consideration for Additional Merit Scholarships

The Simmons City Year Partnership award will range from 25% -50% total tuition, based upon tuition at time of admission to the Master of Social Work program for up to 25 City Year applicants per year. Please note, City Year applicants are also considered for additional scholarship awards. Total savings, including the Simmons City Year Partnership Award combined with other scholarship funding, can amount to as much as a 70% discount on total tuition.

Please note applicants who do not receive a Simmons City Year Partnership Award are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships depending on the strength of their application and availability of funds. Students are unable to combine the Simmons City Year Scholarship with other partner, professional or alumnae scholarships or discounts, and students enrolling in an employer-based cohort are also ineligible to receive the Simmons City Year Award. Following admission, a scholarship letter will detail the total awarded amount and associated terms. For any questions on scholarships, please contact ssw@simmons.edu

Part-time students (five or more credits) and full-time students (10 or more credits) are eligible to be considered for this scholarship. This scholarship opportunity is only available to on-campus students. Students interested in the online Master of Social Work should reach out to admissions@socialwork.simmons.edu for more information.

Scholarships are awarded to City Year AmeriCorps members and alums who complete at least one term of service and City Year staff employed for at least one year.

Applicants will be considered for additional merit-based awards depending on the strength of their application and availability of other Simmons scholarship funds.
