Northeastern University’s D’Amore-McKim School of Business offers City Year AmeriCorps members, alums and staff

Merit Scholarships

The City Year/Northeastern University Master of Business Administration Scholarship awards at least 25% of tuition each year for up to two City Year applicants toward the Full-Time and Part-Time Master of Business Administration programs.

Applicants must meet the business school’s admissions criteria. Renewal of the scholarship in subsequent years is dependent upon students maintaining good academic standing.

Scholarships awarded to City Year AmeriCorps members and alums who complete at least one term of service and City Year staff employed for at least two years.

Applicants will be considered for additional merit-based awards depending on the strength of their application.

• Enrollment deferral: Admitted students may defer enrollment by one year if they decide to stay with City Year for additional time before starting their studies.

A distinguishing feature of the full-time program is the Corporate Residency, where you will work for six months in a full-time, paid, graduate-level position. To access the application fee waiver and apply for the scholarship

To get the application fee waived and be considered for the scholarship, a service verification letter must be requested by emailing alumni@cityyear.org with “Northeastern MBA” in the subject line. Within the email, include the site where you served and your AmeriCorps graduation month and year. This letter will be sent electronically by City Year to the admissions office and added to your applicant file.
