Bard College’s graduate programs in sustainability offer City Year AmeriCorps members, alums and staff

30% scholarships

Bard College’s graduate programs in sustainability provide partial tuition fellowships worth at least 30% of tuition to admitted City Year applicants.

Fellowships awarded to City Year AmeriCorps members and alums who complete at least one term of service and City Year staff employed for at least two years.

  • Enrollment deferral: Admitted students will be permitted to defer enrollment by one year if they decide to serve additional time with City Year before starting their studies.

Please state that you served with City Year and reference our partnership on the online application.

To apply for the scholarship

To be considered for the fellowship, applicants must provide a service or employment verification letter from City Year by emailing alumni@cityyear.org with “Bard College GPS: City Year verification letter request” in the subject line. Within the email, include the site where you served and your AmeriCorps graduation month and year. This letter will be sent electronically by City Year to the admissions office and added to your applicant file.
