At City Year, we are proud to partner with private and family foundations that share our vision for the future of learning and support our mission to help prepare students with the skills and mindsets to succeed in school and in life.
Sustainability, impact and innovation
City Year’s foundation partners recognize the importance of social change and value the impact made when a student is provided with the resources and learning environments they need to thrive in and out of the classroom.
We are grateful for the support of our foundation partners, who enable the organization to invest time and resources into strategy, growth and innovation, and have given us the opportunity to both sustain long-term impact and create new opportunities for learning for our students and schools. Over the last decade, with support from many foundation partners,
City Year has scaled its services to new communities across the country, invested in the AmeriCorps member experience, launched new data reporting tools, and built networks of schools and leaders focused on improvement and student outcomes.
City Year has also built strong research partnerships to support ongoing learning and improvement across the organization and help us better understand our impact. With support from our partners, City Year is able to continuously improve our model and services, focus on innovative solutions, and have a greater impact across our network of 350 school partners. Together, we challenge systemic inequities in our education system, which results in too many students—particularly English Language Learners, students of color, low-income students and children with learning differences—not having access to the resources and support they need to thrive.
