Job Summary

An unpaid internship with flexible (8-20) hours and the possibility of course credit for Graduate Students, Undergraduate Students, Recent Graduates, and Entry-level Professionals. The intern will be involved in cross functional projects that will be beneficial to furthering his/her learning experience with the opportunity to collaborate with professionals across the organization. In addition, the intern has the opportunity to develop contacts that can prove invaluable to future job opportunities and networking.

Position Overview

City Year’s Development and Alumni department is seeking a highly talented, energetic, and self-directed intern who has demonstrated interest education, nonprofit management, and/or social entrepreneurship.

This experience will offer the opportunity to learn about the various aspects of fundraising functions in a high performing education focused nonprofit organization. The intern will work at City Year’s National Headquarters in Boston to support a variety of special projects of the Development and Alumni department within the areas of Learning and Development. Interns will join a professional, talented, and diverse staff working on projects that are essential to helping City Year achieve its organizational goals which offers opportunities for interns to develop professional skills while supporting the organization’s Long Term Impact Strategy. Through purposeful, authentic, and meaningful projects and tasks, the interns at City Year gain relevant professional skills and deepen their understanding of education policy and the role of the nonprofit sector in education reform.
