As a City Year corps member, you will serve on a service team at your site location during your program year. Each team has a unique focus, varying from a specific neighborhood to youth leadership and social issues.
City Year Corps Members serve on their service team to lead programs and initiatives such as in-school service, after-school programs, the youth leadership corps, civic engagement and Camp City Year.
What is a City Year Service Team?
- A 6-12 corps members team who serve together during in-school and after-school programs throughout the year.
- Each team is comprised of corps members with a diverse mix of life experiences and skill sets.
- Site staff determines your team placement within the first few weeks of the service year.
While you may express your preference for a particular team, you cannot be guaranteed placement.
