Join City Year Seattle/King County on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 12pm as 60 corps members pledge to make a difference in the schools and neighborhoods of Seattle. These diverse young leaders of the City Year Seattle/King County 2010-2011 corps will be in the company of family, friends, civic leaders and community supporters on City Year Seattle/King County's Opening Day.
They will join more than 1,750 other diverse 17-24 year olds in 20 communities across America who will also be sworn in as City Year corps members that day. Corps members commit themselves to a year of full-time service in Seattle's schools and communities. In Seattle, WA this year, City Year corps members will work as tutors, mentors and role models to make a difference in the lives of students to keep them in-school and on-track.
