City Year San Jose/Silicon Valley Opening Day 2010
Join family and friends, corporate sponsors, service partners and community supporters for the launch of the 2010-2011 City Year San Jose/Silicon Valley corps with an inspiring, high-energy event as 55 diverse young leaders pledge 10 months of service to the children and communities of San Jose/Silicon Valley.
They will join more than 1,750 other diverse 17-24 year olds in 20 communities across America who will also be sworn in as City Year corps members that day. This year, City Year corps members will work as tutors, mentors and role models to make a difference in the lives of 3,000 children in Alum Rock Unified School District.
