When you serve with City Year every day is a chance to make a difference. No two days will be exactly alike, but here is an example of what a typical day might be like with City Year Rhode Island:
8:15 am -- Meet up with your teammates and fellow corps members at Kennedy Plaza for Unity Rally. Unity Rally prepares corps members for a powerful day of service through PT (physical training), daily announcements, and occasional guest speakers.
8:45-9:15 am – Travel with team to school.
9:30 am -- Prepare for your day’s lessons.
10:00 – 12:00pm – Provide in-class tutoring and mentoring assistance.
12:00 pm – Lunch
1:00 pm – Prepare for after-school program.
2:00 pm – Lead after-school activity with students, such as homework club or basketball.
5:30 pm – Team Circle to discuss the day and review the schedule for tomorrow.
6:00 pm – Head home to get some rest!
