Due to inclement weather, City Year Greater Philadelphia's 9th Annual Serve-A-Thon has been postponed until Spring 2010. We hope all those that were planning to attend will consider taking part in the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on January 18, 2010 or Serve-A-Thon in the Spring.
What is Serve-A-Thon?
Serve-A-Thon is City Year Greater Philadelphia's signature fall service event where corps members lead hundreds of volunteers in a single day of transformative physical service to help build stronger communities and create positive change in the City of Philadelphia. City Year corps members partner with corporations, schools and community volunteers to complete high-impact, transformative projects such as painting murals, improving playgrounds and beautifying community spaces. The event further serves to connect people of different backgrounds, ages and life experiences in a day of powerful community service.
