Opening Day

On October 1, 2010, more than 1,750 young idealists across the country pledged to serve America as members of the 2010-2011 City Year corps.

225 of these young leaders will commit to a year of service in the schools and communities of Philadelphia.

Promising to serve over 350,000 hours, Philadelphia corps members will provide in school and out of school programming for nearly 20,000 students, and engage over 4,000 citizens in volunteer service.

Please join community and corporate leaders, service partners, and friends of City Year as our corps members pledge to give a year, and change the world.
