Every 26 seconds a student drops out of school.
City Year is an education-focused, non-profit organization that unites young people, ages 17-24, of all backgrounds for a year of full-time service to keep students in school and on-track to graduation.
As tutors, mentors, and role models, these leaders make a difference in the lives of children and transform schools and neighborhoods across Philadelphia. By focusing on attendance, behavior and course performance, which identify students who are at risk of dropping out, corps members are uniquely able to help students and schools succeed.
