What is 100 Hours of Power?

/uploadedImages/CityYear/Local/Louisiana/0_Homepage/1HOP Service.JPG100 Hours of Power is a service campaign led by City Year Louisiana in which corps members and community volunteers transform the communities of Baton Rouge and New Orleans for 100 hours of nonstop service. More than 500 volunteers will work on projects designed to improve educational facilities, parks, community centers and neighborhoods of Baton Rouge and New Orleans.

When is 100 Hours of Power?

8:30 am Monday, June 1

through

5:00 pm on Friday, June 5

Service will go around the clock.

Who can participate in 100 Hours of Power?

YOU! Join City Year Louisiana corps at a 100 Hours of Power service event to transform neighborhoods and schools.

Where will 100 Hours of Power service events be located?

Service will take place throughout the Greater Baton Rouge and New Orleans areas.  A complete schedule will be published as we get closer to the event; however, details can be received by calling Jennifer Metz at 225-284-2438.

How can you get involved?

Visit www.volunteerlouisiana.gov to learn more about the service that will be done and to sign up for individual projects!

Community members can get involved by volunteering at one of the various service projects, donating supplies, or sponsoring a service event.  Those interested in sponsoring a project can learn more by contacting Jennifer Metz at 225-284-2438.
