Join City Year Louisiana!

We are currently accepting applications for the ‘10-‘11 corps year.

As a City Year Louisiana corps member, you will join more than 91 other teammates in serving the children and schools in Baton Rouge and New Orleans.

  • Attend a service event! Speak with corps members and learn more about our program.

The Application Process

  1. Complete the online application. If you cannot apply online, you can either download a paper application or contact us to request a hard copy application.
  2. Letters of Recommendation. Request two letters of recommendation, using the forms provided in the application, from people who know you on a professional or academic basis.
  3. Mail the completed references to the City Year Louisiana office.  If you completed a hard copy application also mail us your application form and essay to:
  4. Interview: City Year is a competitive program and we conduct interviews with all of our qualified candidates. If you are unable to interview locally, City Year will conduct a phone interview with you.

Become a Recruitment Champion:

Recruitment Champions are community members who help City Year Louisiana recruit highly motivated and dedicated 17-24 year olds to dedicate 10 months to making a difference in the lives of Louisiana’s children and communities. .

There are several ways to get involved:

  • Refer a dedicated 17-24 year old.
  • Learn about City Year through attending City Year Louisiana community events and service events throughout the year.
  • SPREAD THE WORD!!!  Tell your friends, family and neighbors about the work City Year is doing in Louisiana.
