Make it a day on, not a day off!
On January 19, 2009 City Year Los Angeles will honor the work and life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
On Martin Luther King, Jr, Day 100 Los Angeles middle school students and 75 high school students will gather to honor the memory of Dr. King as they begin their four-month participation in the City Year Heroes Programs.
The inspiring Young Heroes and City Heroes Opening Ceremony will be immediately followed by a day of service, where City Year Young Heroes, City Heores, Los Angeles Corps Members, families, friends, alumni, and corporate partners will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., through an afternoon of transformative physical service at Bethune Middle School.
