Camp City Year provides a week of education, creativity, excitement, and civic learning for children grades 1–5 during Spring Break for the Little Rock and North Little Rock school districts.
Campers are introduced to new games, arts and crafts activities and literature while learning respect for diversity and new cultures - all in a safe, supervised environment. Campers also receive a healthy lunch and the opportunity to make new friends from schools all over Little Rock and North Little Rock. Camp City Year's theme is "Planet Hero" where camp participants learn about taking care of the earth and each other.
Each day, a speaker from a different state will visit Camp City Year and offer campers firsthand experience of how they take care of the planet and other people. In the process, participants will learn what they can do to make a difference in their own communities.
