"It was so much fun.  I learned a lot of new things like how to make peanut butter taffy!
Iesha, Age 11

Camp City Year provides a week of education, creativity, excitement, and civic learning for children grades 1–5 during Spring Break for the Little Rock and North Little Rock school districts.

Campers are introduced to new games, arts and crafts activities and literature while learning respect for diversity and new cultures - all in a safe, supervised environment.  Campers also receive a healthy lunch and the opportunity to make new friends from schools all over Little Rock and North Little Rock. Camp City Year's theme is "US: Coast to Coast!" where camp participants learn about people and cultures from different states across the country and that all people have a shared humanity that makes us more alike than different.

Each day, a speaker from a different state will visit Camp City Year and offer campers firsthand experience of what it is like to experience a new culture within our own country.  In the process, participants will learn what they can do to appreciate different cultures in their own communities.
