United Way has many ways to disperse funds to its agencies. City Year receives its United Way funds through the direct designations of donors.
United Way in the Workplace
CONTRIBUTING THROUGH UNITED WAY
If your workplace participates in the United Way campaign, your campaign coordinator will give you a United Way pledge form that asks you for your information and how much you would like to give. On the right side of the form, you can choose how your donation will be used.

Option B is where you can specify where you want your money to be used. If you would like your United Way contribution to go to City Year, you must check Option B and write "City Year Little Rock/North Little Rock" on the line.
As a designations-only agency, City Year does not receive funds from Option A contributions.
HAVING A CITY YEAR PRESENTATION AT YOUR UNITED WAY EMPLOYEE MEETING
Many workplaces have a meeting to educate employees about United Way and encourage them to participate. Usually, part of the meeting is dedicated to a United Way agency testimonial about its impact on the local community. Talk to the United Way campaign coordinator at your workplace to see if City Year can make a presentation at your United Way employee meeting.
HAVING YOUR WORKPLACE JOIN THE UNITED WAY WORKPLACE CAMPAIGN
If your workplace does not currently take part in the United Way Workplace Campaign each fall, spearhead a movement for your employer to join it! United Way for Individuals
If you cannot participate in the United Way Workplace Campaign, you can still give to City Year through United Way.
- Donate Online: Make a secure online donation through United Way's national site. Please type "City Year Little Rock/North Little Rock" in the "Focus Area" field. (The minimum donation is $10 and is subject to a 3.5% transaction fee.)
- Donate by Mail: Make a contribution via postal mail.
