What is a City Year Team Sponsor?

Team Sponsors partner with a team of corps members to make a direct impact in their community by investing their time, resources and talent. Corporate employees volunteer alongside corps members in service projects, such as painting murals, planting gardens, and landscaping at schools, community centers, and neighborhoods.

Team Sponsors and their employees join their team for events throughout the year including volunteering on service days, participating in leadership development workshops for corps members and hosting the team at your offices. 

City Year Team Sponsors support:

• A passionate and diverse team of 6-10 corps members, serving as tutors, mentors and role models in schools and communities.
• More than 13,600 average hours of team service
• Improve the academic achievement and character development of students and enhance the capacity and performance of schools.
• Improving in-school and after-school learning and play spaces at local schools and community centers.
