More than 175 City Year champions will join City Year Detroit as 63 corps members pledge to give a year to making a difference in the lives of Detroit’s children and neighborhoods! These dedicated corps members will serve with more than 1300 other young leaders in 17 communities across the country. Each year at Opening Day ceremonies, City Year Detroit honors the commitment of corps members to make a difference in the communities and schools of Detroit.
Immediately following the high-energy public ceremony, corps members will put their pledge into action by completing transformative service projects throughout the City of Detroit.
