City Year Detroit’s Young Heroes and City Heroes programs engage youth in service and leadership development activities that connect them to their community on a variety of topics such as homelessness, hunger, violence prevention and disability awareness. Through these corps member-led programs, youth have the opportunity to serve together on diverse teams and deepen their belief that they can make a difference.
