On Friday, October 1, 2010, 25 corps members from diverse backgrounds will pledge to make a difference in the schools and neighborhoods of Columbus.
City Year Opening Day marks the beginning of the17th corps year in Columbus. 25 young idealists pledge to serve four of Columbus' most challenged public schools as tutors, mentors and role models. Opening Day is an annual tradition through which the City Year corps is introduced to the city.
