Nearly 100 Columbia middle school students gather to honor the memory of Dr. King as they begin their six-month participation in the City Year Young Heroes Program.

On Martin Luther King, Jr, Day, City Year Columbia hosts a fun-filled family carnival with games and activities for all ages. The carnival celebrates the idea of the "beloved community" by bringing people together in fellowship and fun. The event is free and open to all.

Volunteers needed from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

*  If you are under 16, you will need a parent to attend the event with you as a volunteer.
*  Some of the activities you will be helping include helping out with the carnival games and breaking down the event. 
*  Friends/siblings may attend (focus from ages 6-12)
