Service Project's Completed:

We partnered with six (6) service sites: Dulles School of Excellence, Wadsworth Elementary School, Woodlawn Charter School, Peace Community Center, Kenneth Campbell Apartments, and Experimental Station.

At Woodlawn Charter, we stenciled 8 murals designed by Woodlawn Charter students; stenciled and completed 5 quote murals, 7 torch murals, and 1 Obama mural; painted a hallway; actively engaged students to "take ownership" of their school space.

At Kenneth Campbell Apartments (Chicago Housing Authority), we painted 1 recreation room; painted 1 mural in recreation room; painted kitchen and dining room; painted 1 office; interacted with senior residents.

At Experimental Station, we knocked on 154 doors at the Grove Park housing project (61st and Cottage Grove) and had 42 conversations with residents regarding how food issues affect their lives and how to improve food access for their community.

At Wadsworth Elementary, we repainted the lunchroom and added fruits and vegetables to one wall, repainted the first floor hallway and 2 stairways in one building, repainted the upper right hallway in one building, painted science stencils in the science lab, painted math stencils in the math lab, repainted the gym and stenciled three school logos on the gym walls, and repainted the teacher's lounge.

At PEACE Community Center, we cleaned out and reorganized 2 storage areas, cleaned out, re-organized and cleaned the computer room, and cleaned out and created a library.

At Dulles Elementary, we completed 7 murals and painted 10 classrooms and 3 resource rooms.
