100 Hours of Power, Wednesday Recap

On day two of 100 Hours of Power, corps members brought their tireless energy to the Uptown neighborhood on Chicago's north side. City Year Chicago partnered with three organizations: Sarah’s Circle, the McCormick Boys and Girl’s Club and Residences for Effective Shelter Transition (R.E.S.T.).

  1. What was your initial reaction when you heard City Year was providing 100 hours of service day and night? How are you going to sleep?
  2. What motivated you to come out and serve with City Year tonight? I wanted to support you guys (City Year)!

  1. How will this overnight service benefit your organization? The teens will have a place to relax and have their own space from the others. It will also provide a meeting space for the teens and their organizations. 
  2. What do you think about the 100 Hours of Power event in general? AWESOME! You guys (City Year) are great! You’re on time and so creative! What City Year is doing helps different organizations build their communities. 100 Hours of Power is so unique!
