MLK Day: Heroes Opening Ceremony and March
On January 19, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, 245 area middle and high school students came together in honor of Dr. King's legacy, pledging to spend the next five months serving their communities as part of the Young and City Heroes Program. Following the Heroes Opening Ceremony, the Heroes were joined by over 250 friends, family, and community members, as they marched the streets of Roxbury in a celebration of youth's potential to create positive social change. Together with community supporters, the Heroes celebrated the steps they are taking towards fulfilling Dr. King's dream.
