History

In 1988, City Year was founded in Boston. The city is now home to City Year Boston and the City Year, Inc. Headquarters. City Year is fortunate to have strong community support, especially from local leaders including Mayor Thomas Menino and Superintendent Dr. Carol Johnson. This dedication from champions, friends, and family enables City Year to continue making a difference in the lives of children and their neighborhoods.
