Never Doubt that We Can Rise Above Hate [Milwaukee Journal Sentinel]

Stephanie Maney-Hartlaub is spreading a message of never giving in to doubt at a time when it is so easy to have doubts. If, like me, you can’t take much more bad news, I’ll rush past the reasons why pretty much everyone among us is feeling some gloom. Pandemic impacts and restrictions. Polarization. Bad things happening to many good people. Such troubling prospects for the future.

Going back a decade or so, I’ve known Maney-Hartlaub for her work as an educator in several significant roles in Milwaukee. But I didn’t know her personal story until she describe it as a recent event for City Year.
