Job Summary:

Position Overview:

The Strategy Analyst will join a professional, talented and diverse team to work on projects that are essential to helping City Year achieve its Long-Term Impact goal. Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Analysis, the Strategy Analyst will work in the Strategy & Growth Department within the office of the President. The Strategy and Growth team is responsible for leading the organization to complete many of its highest priority initiatives. As a member of the team, the Strategy Analyst will be at the forefront of the organization's efforts to scale its impact across the country.

Responsibilities:

Potential high priority projects include but are not limited to:

• Work directly with City Year sites to develop five-year long-term impact plans

• Analyze student, school and district data to develop multi-year deployment plans that will enable each site to scale and achieve the desired impact for City Year's long-term impact goal

• Partner with the finance department to analyze and project multi-year revenue requirements for scale

• Assist in preparing high profile marketing and strategy presentations to external stakeholders

• Conduct analyses to demonstrate the impact of the City Year program to external audiences

• Generate and present analyses to management to inform key business decisions

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree

• Experience conducting quantitative analysis preferred (e.g., management consulting)

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Ability to work and to communicate well with diverse audiences

• Ability to synthesize complex data into clear and concise communications

• Ability and experience working in an entrepreneurial, dynamic organization

• Flexible, persistent and resilient
